Admits: Members of the University, others on application.
Stock: As a legal deposit library, the holdings of material published in the UK and Ireland are substantial and wide ranging, and received in print as well in electronic format. In addition, there are comprehensive collections of books, journals published overseas, along with considerable holdings of maps, music, photographs and sound recordings. The library provides access to an increasing collection of ejournals, full-text and citation databases, and to ebook collections from a wide range of publishers and suppliers.
Special collections: Special collections include rare books and manuscripts as well as specialist holdings, such as the Darwin Correspondence Project, the University Archives, the Bible Society and the Taylor-Schechter Genizah Unit
Services: General and specialist enquiries. Foreign language specialists. Access to a large selection of electronic information resources, including electronic legal deposit, digital library WiFi access (in main reading rooms and adjacent areas). Opening hours: Term: Mon-Fri 09:00-19:15, Sat 09:00-17:00, (open until 22:00 on Mon-Fri during the whole of Easter Full Term)
