Admits: Members of the University, others on application. All may borrow books
Stock: Books on planty subjects except floras, the Simpson Collection, monographs and works on taxonomy, which are now held in the Herbarium Library. iDiscover will indicate in which location an individual item can be located. A large number of relatively rare plant-related serials also held
Special collections: Some Department archives and records : please contact us first as these are not catalogued
Services: Quiet study room, group-working area, computer bays. Public-access computers. Inter-library loans and photocopies. Photocopying (5p per page, cash). Lapwing.
Opening hours: The Plant Sciences Library will operate a limited service in Michaelmas Term 2020. Please check the Library website for updates, and contact the Library at with any questions about access to resources.


Previous opening hours: Library staffed Mon, Tues, Thurs and Fri mornings, but enquiries by email will be dealt with at all times. Access at other times is dependent on reception being staffed.
